Platform for mechanical, metabolic, and electrical analysis on cells and tissues
(In collaboration with the Department of NeuroFarBa, LENS, and INO-CNR)
-
Optical microscopes with customized setups for simultaneous measurements of micromechanics and calcium release from preparations obtained within the platform framework.
-
Experimental setups (spinning-disk confocal microscope) for high spatiotemporal resolution fluorescence measurements using calcium indicators (cytoplasmic or sub-cellular compartments), voltage-sensitive membrane dyes, or genetically encoded probes for tracking specific cell growth pathways.
- Development of high spatiotemporal resolution optical systems based on advanced microscopy techniques, such as multi-photon microscopy and light-sheet microscopy
