Vision

The Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine (DMSC) looks to the future with the goal of consolidating and strengthening its strategic role within the university and healthcare system through the synergistic development of its institutional missions.

In the area of education: the DMSC aims to expand and update its educational offerings in line with the evolving skills required in the biomedical sector, promoting internationalization, interdisciplinarity, and the adoption of innovative teaching methods.
The goal is to train professionals capable of addressing the challenges of contemporary medicine with awareness and a critical mindset. A key focus will be contributing to the establishment of the simulation center and the widespread adoption of innovative methodologies, supported by the I.D.E.CO.M. Unit and geared toward training professionals capable of managing and developing advanced solutions across various healthcare fields.

 

In the field of research: the DMSC aims to strengthen translational and multidisciplinary activities, promoting projects with high scientific and social impact, in collaboration with public agencies, healthcare institutions, and businesses. Particular attention will be given to the development of research areas focused on personalized medicine, the sustainability of healthcare systems, and the use of new technologies in clinical settings. The DMSC will continue to invest in the development and sharing of its technological platforms, aiming for ever-closer integration between clinical and preclinical sectors, with a view to translational and sustainable research, yielding significant clinical, organizational, and economic benefits.

 

In the area of knowledge dissemination: the DMSC intends to step up its public engagement and technology transfer activities by promoting initiatives in science communication, health education, and collaboration with the local community. The goal is to generate tangible social, cultural, and economic benefits, contributing to improved quality of life and the sustainability of healthcare services
