At the Lyceum Club Internazionale, Lungarno Guicciardini 17, Florence, on Wednesday, September 23, at 5:00 PM, a meeting will be held by Professor Alessandro Bartoloni entitled "The Plague: History and Science. Lessons from the Past to Understand Today's Epidemics."

Professor Piero Olliaro (University of Oxford), Professor of Poverty-Related Infectious Diseases and Scientific Director of the International Severe Acute Respiratory and Emerging Infection Consortium (ISARIC) at the Pandemic Science Institute of the University of Oxford, will speak. Professor Piero Olliaro worked for 25 years at the World Health Organization's Special Programme on Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR).
