The Tuscany Region has published a call for proposals, addressed to companies and organizations within the National Health Service (SSR) and/or the Tuscan Regional Network for Rare Diseases, for projects to improve the organization of patient care and management of patients with rare diseases.
Funding is available for up to 10 tuition fees for the Master's Degree in "Rare Diseases" at the University of Florence, to be awarded to the leading candidates of the winning projects.
The call aims to promote the submission of management, organizational, and diagnostic/therapeutic pathway projects capable of improving the quality of Rare Disease care and assistance within the National Health Service (SSR) and the Regional Rare Disease Network, encouraging the active involvement of professionals in specific areas of intervention as well as other stakeholders (associations, institutions, etc.).
Companies and organizations within the National Health Service (SSR) and/or the Tuscan Regional Network for Rare Diseases may submit one or more project proposals, which must involve process or service innovations in the field of rare disease care.
Funding is available for up to 10 tuition fees for the 2nd-level Master's Degree in "Rare Diseases" at the University of Florence for the 2026/27 academic year, to be awarded to the leading candidates for the winning projects.
