The clinical research and excellence of our Department's healthcare staff continue to stand out in the most prominent international scientific forums.
At the Vascular Annual Meeting of the Society for Vascular Surgery held in Boston, Professor Raffaele Pulli and Professor Walter Dorigo—professors at the DMSC, affiliated with the Departmental Organizational Structure of Vascular Surgery of the Careggi University Hospital—presented significant scientific contributions, the result of intensive research activity and consolidated clinical experience.
The presentations dedicated to the outcomes of carotid endarterectomy in patients with carotid near-occlusion, and to the application of the ERAS protocol in open abdominal aortic surgery, garnered great interest within the international scientific community. Furthermore, special recognition was awarded to the poster comparing endovascular treatment and open surgery in type II endoleaks after EVAR, which was selected among the top three contributions in its international session.
This prestigious achievement testifies to the value of the research developed within the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine. It confirms how the integration of clinical activity, scientific innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration represents a hallmark of our academic community.
Congratulations to our colleagues for representing our Department and the Careggi University Hospital with competence and authority at one of the world's most prestigious events dedicated to vascular surgery
