During the conference dedicated to the GIMEMA Foundation’s national network of molecular hematology diagnostic laboratories, Prof. Alessandro Maria Vannucchi, full professor at the DMSC and Director of the Oncology Department at Careggi University Hospital, represented the scientific board of the LabNet JAKNet project, which focuses on chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms.
This is also a significant recognition for CRIMM—the Careggi Center for Research and Innovation in Myeloproliferative Diseases, coordinated by Prof. Paola Guglielmelli—which is now the national reference center for the standardization of advanced molecular diagnostic methods, including NGS technologies.
The DMSC’s participation in this important institutional event confirms the value of translational research, diagnostic innovation, and collaboration between clinical and scientific networks—fundamental elements for the development of increasingly precise and patient-centered medicine.
Congratulations to all the professionals involved for their scientific and institutional commitment, which helps strengthen the role of the University of Florence and Careggi within the national hematology landscape.
