Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Professor Grazi Interviewed at the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation Congress

 

Professor Gian Luca Grazi, Full Professor of General Surgery at the University of Florence's Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine and Director of the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Unit at Careggi University Hospital, participated in the congress entitled "HCC (Hepatocellular Carcinoma) Recurrence After Surgical Resection: Predict, Prevent, Treat," organized by the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation in Monza.

During the congress, Professor Grazi addressed the management of hepatocellular carcinoma, highlighting its significance as one of the major challenges in contemporary hepatology and oncology. His presentation focused on recent advances in minimally invasive liver surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic approaches, and the clinical outcomes achieved through these techniques. He also examined the emerging role of immunotherapy and the evolving prospects of combination treatment strategies, emphasizing the rapid progress being made in both the biological understanding of the disease and surgical innovation.
